MarketPilot AI: Campaign Planning, Content and Analytics

The Problem
Campaign concepts, draft copy, assets, approvals, publishing calendars and analytics often sit in separate tools. Teams can lose the connection between the idea and its scheduled execution, repeat work across channels, or publish copy that does not match brand guidance. Generative copy alone does not solve coordination, permissions or approval workflows.
The Solution
MarketPilot AI is a product concept that combines an editorial calendar, campaign workspace, script editor, brand voice settings and channel-level performance views. Marketers start with a campaign brief, generate draft options with bounded AI assistance, edit them in context, request approval and schedule the final content through configured publishing integrations. Analytics appear beside campaign context so teams can review what happened without treating correlation as proof of causation.
Key Features
Campaign planning board
Connect goals, audience, channels, deadlines and asset owners.
Editorial calendar
Review weekly and monthly content status across formats and channels.
AI script and copy drafts
Create editable options from an approved brief and voice configuration.
Brand voice controls
Manage tone examples, prohibited claims and terminology.
Approval states
Route drafts through named reviewers before scheduling.
Channel publishing queue
Prepare posts for supported APIs with visible connection health.
Campaign analytics
Compare engagement and delivery signals with clearly labeled source and time period.
Architecture
Proposed architecture: React/TypeScript web app; API services for campaigns, assets, approvals, schedules and analytics; PostgreSQL for structured content and job state; object storage for media; queue workers for scheduled publishing and analytics ingestion; and encrypted OAuth tokens for supported channel integrations. AI orchestration should pass a compact campaign brief and approved brand rules, save prompts/model metadata for review, and record user edits. Tenant-scoped authorization and channel permissions belong in the application layer. Integration coverage must be validated per platform and account tier.
AI Implementation
Use a language model to propose campaign angles, scripts and channel variants from a user-approved brief; classify content against a brand checklist; and summarize time-bounded analytics. AI output should remain a draft until a human approves it. Scheduling, token scopes, publication status, rate limits and media validation are deterministic. Recommendations should cite the underlying reporting period and avoid attributing outcomes to a single creative change without suitable evidence.
Example Workflow
A marketer creates a fall campaign brief with audience, offer, dates and brand guardrails. The assistant suggests three short-video angles and a draft script. The marketer edits one version in the content studio, checks channel-specific length and media requirements, and submits it to a brand reviewer. After approval, the scheduled item enters a publishing queue through an authorized connection. Delivery status and channel analytics return to the campaign view for follow-up.
Security & Privacy
Keep OAuth scopes minimal and encrypt channel credentials at rest. Enforce organization boundaries on assets, campaign drafts and analytics. Prevent unapproved drafts from being published; validate scheduled time zones, media formats and content ownership before queueing. Log approvals and publish attempts while redacting credentials and private messages. Retries must distinguish transient API errors from rejected content, and duplicate-safe job keys should prevent double posting.
Business Value
The intended benefit is a more visible path from campaign brief to approved publishing, less repeated drafting across formats and fewer missed handoffs between creative and channel operations. Consolidated status can help teams plan workload and review results. No engagement uplift, time savings or channel performance is claimed.
Challenges & Approach
Anticipated challenges include changing platform APIs, inconsistent analytics definitions, varied brand governance and AI drafts that sound generic or overstate claims. The design uses channel adapters, explicit metric labels, editable drafts and approval gates; evaluation should include brand-specific examples and prohibited-claim checks.
Next Steps
Choose one initial channel and campaign type; validate brand-rule authoring with marketers; prototype calendar and approval states; build a small evaluated prompt set; and test OAuth scopes, rate-limit handling and publishing idempotency before adding more channels.
